OMGOOOSSHHH, I JUST RACKED UP A CART OF STUFF BY MAKEUP FOREVER. THANKS! I’LL HAVE TO HOLD OFF. THANK GOSH!
@biamayz27 There is a Union for makeup artist. Like any professional union the Local and district will depend on the area in which you live. For example in NYC my union Local is 798 District 10. There are certain steps you must take to join the union and there are certain perks to being in the union…one is your professional discounts. If I were you, I’d research it to find out if joining the union is a good option for you and your career.
thanks for the info. Quick questions….what are union membership? Is it like a mac pro card?
Great video! Thank you for the information.
@DoctressHorrible I know, there was talk some years ago of them putting one in place. I thought it would have been up and going by now. I don’t buy much (none) urban decay so I’m not sure. When I referenced it some years ago, that was the information I was given.
@DoctressHorrible IM JUST SAYING HER MAKEUP SUCK SO STAY OUT BITCH
@310myhoodiez Wow you’re an ass. I have met make up artists who do other peoples make up incredibly but don’t go all out on themselves.
Are you sure about the Urban Decay one? I emailed them a couple months ago and they told me they don’t have a pro discount.
WOW!! This helped me out SO much! Favorited!
Thanks for the video. Have a great day!
Wow this is great! Thank you so much!!!
not very professional…she acts VERY nervous!!!!
your a makup artist HAHHAHAHAHAHAHA UR MAKE UP SUCKS IN THE BEGANING IDK HOW YOU BECAME A MAKE UP ARTIST LOL
@anointed4beauty
can u teach me
@anointed4beauty btw some companies don’t even ask for a license they may ask for business cards, comp cards, agent referral, tear sheets, etc. Just reseach the brand u want a discount from & find out exactly what they require to approve ur discount
@anointed4beauty some compaines like MAC I know 4 a fact take cosmetologist licenses as proof, I just think the discount is smaller like 30% instead of 40%. I enclosed all the companies contact information when they ask 4 a license send a copy of ur cosmo license they will either accept or reject it. Or u can contact them & ask in advance. If u want 2 offer makeup u might want 2 consider getting a duel license it’ll never hurt.
I’m a professional Cosmetologist and i do makeup in my salon as well as freelance with weddings and proms. How can i take advantage of these discounts when there asking me for make up license. In the state where i live once you become a licensed cosmetologist you can operate in any area of beauty. Well i’m want to find out were can i get a certificate in makeup artistry? PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE ! tks
This was EXTREMELY helpful! I just acquired my Esthetics license Thursday and I have been wondering what discounts are available for licensed professional. Thank you for this information.
@Jaynamama Or you a be a licensed esthetician which covers makeup artistry and obtaining that license from a state will grant you a discount with all companies that offer professional discounts.
Schools for makeup artistry do not offer licenses. Makeup application is not regulated by most states (Florida is excluded). You may get a certification for makeup training or schooling.
you can take classes or workshops usually they give you some type of makeup certificate at the end of the course or workshop.
@MaggieAnnieMUA some companies accept a cosmetology license but they may offer a discount at a lower rate seeing as how cosmetologist generally do hair and not makeup. I am referring to a license in Makeup Artistry which you can obtain for attending certain makeup schools that offer them. Not all companies accept licenses so be sure to read the things you need to be sure.
when you mean certification or license is that a cosmetology license?!
@chamirose I work mostly with makeup I’m not a cosmetologist so I don’t work with hair. Being an esthetician kind of goes hand and hand with makeup though so I work a good deal in that as well.
Thanks for the info. How do you like being an esthetician? Have you work alot in this field or mostly with hair and makeup?
@taymaire97 My first job at 15 was scooping ice cream and making cakes at Brusters Ice Cream
SO much fun
@gossipgrlfanz nice! So glad
@brandon420z1 it doesn’t have the silicone slip feel though
@luckydaypeace I actually just saw where someone said you have to actually type it in- if you copy and paste it doesn’t work. Not sure why…
@luckydaypeace you either have to choose to use that or the free shipping they’re offering I think
@TheTeenOpinion it’s not about your video quality or things like that. Just have fun with it and be genuine. Don’t do it to get views or it will just never happen. Again, just have fun!
I have very dry skin… I know you recommended a lot of primers for oily skin but I’m just wondering which primer you would recommand for my type of skin (after I applied moisturizer)? (Very dry around the nose, middle of eyebrows and sometimes on the chin).
Thanks ! -Love ALL your videos!-
**Sorry for my maybe bad english, I’m from Quebec..hahah**
I luv u
I love your videos and i know you have heard many times before you are amazing and talented. My husband jokes and calls you my internet wife because of how much i watch your videos. I value your opinion very much and have bought many products based on that. You have never let me down. I am pregnant now and i have noticed my skin has changed which is a challenge but watching your videos helps. I want to try the origins vitazing you talk about. Where can I get that from?
@MakeupByTiffanyD Have you tried the loreal studio secrets face primer?
the that gal primer reaaaly broke me out! so you might want to be aware that it could cause some acne
do you do wedding makeup and can anyone book you to do their makeup ?
how do you dye your hair? i really like your hair style/colors
Which Chan Luu is that?! I LOVE IT
smashbox has a product its “targeted line and pore primer” and it works soooo well! I bought it because I have some acne scarring and since I have been using it for about 2 or 3 months I have noticed a HUGE difference in the scars as the product is supposed to help improve the look of the lines/scars. Obviously you do not have acne lol but if mac doesn’t sell that product you mentioned anymore then definitely give Smashbox targeted pore and line primer!
xoErica
I love that gal by benefit!! It’s my favorite, it just seems to give ivory skin a beautiful glow.. However I have tried it on darker skinned clients and it just did absolutely nothing.. I think the laura mercier oil free primer is great for an all around primer as well!
Tiffany,
I use my BB cream as a primer. Mainly it takes away redness and smooths out my pores and gives light coverage. Then I can add any of my foundations over it and that gives more coverage without looking caked on. Very nice finnish and my foundation stays on till I take it off at night. Missha makes my favorite BB creams.
can you please do a review on the new bouncy blushes
there is a mac now where i live and are mac eye shadow primers good? and are they worth the price?
your hair is so long now! jealous!
I have the MAC prep and prime. It makes me look cakey. =( idk maybe im putting it on wrong? I use it with NARS sheer glow
you’re hair is so pretty!
i like the other one i think its by benefit called pore fessional, its almost exactly like the too faced primer except it feels a little lighter
Can you make a video on how to get more views on youtube? I make HD videos but I’m still not getting that many views..
MUFE HD primer and powder are going to be reformulated, it does not photograph well at all,
