Tips on Natural Toddler Pageant?

Question by : Tips on Natural Toddler Pageant?
I dont need anything about i shouldnt put her in a pageant but i have a 18 month old daughter and im putting her in a Candy Cane pageant in December. Its a natural pageant not a glitz (aka no fake tans teeths hair and caked on makeup) and theyre just doing holiday wear. But her being only a year and a half old how exactly do these things go? If someone had done pageants with a child this old i need some pointers, as far as outfit, what the judges will be looking for, what shell have to do on stage etc…thank you!

Alright, I think you should pick out maybe a red dress, and sew on fluffy white trim. Do the same for a red “Santa Claus” hat (you know, the ones that are in a triangle shape when you lay them out flat, but when they’re on a child’s head, the top half droops down) or, a red headband maybe even with her name in glitter or jewels on it. Maybe for shoes, little white booties? Also, maybe bracelets made out of the white fluffy fabric. Will she walk, make faces, etc. comfortably on stage? If not, then you should hold her and bounce her around, but I’m warning you, she will have a much better chance of winning if she’s walking and doing her own thing. If she will do that stuff, then I think she should walk on stage, and then maybe jump/skip around, make some cute faces, and maybe shake her booty a little lol. I think the judges will be looking for personality, a nice costume, and a beautiful face. Have her wave to the judges and when it’s time to go off stage, have her say, “Bye!” (If she knows how). Maybe have someone in the audience making funny faces, or you could tickle her so she smiles a lot. Good Luck! I’m sure you have a beautiful little girl!
