Question by : What should I do with my makeup and hair for prom?
Here’s a link to some pictures of the dress: http://www.amazon.com/Strapless-Taffeta-Bridesmaid-Holiday-Formal/dp/B00144JTL2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qid=1269895955&sr=8-2-spell
I have very dark brown hair that comes down about an inch and a half below my shoulder blades. My skin is pale olive toned, and my eyes are hazel.
I want to do something romantic and kind of goth, but I have no idea of how to do it in a way that would work with the dress.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Oops… I forgot to say what color I got the dress in. It’s burgandy.

curl your hair and pin some of it back loosely with a rhinestone clip (red, black, or purple). for makeup, wear red lipstick and do a smoky eye. good luck!
What do you think? Answer below!

I’m no hair stylist so my suggestion may not be the best. But maybe you should put your hair up in an elegant twist bun and have loose, hair flowing out from the bun and maybe in front of your face a bit. It’s a little hard to explain.
Here’s what I mean:

I think it would look very pretty, but it’s your choice after all. ^_^
As for makeup, maybe some dark eyeshadow and eyeliner with red lipstick?
If you need more help, try asking your mom or someone who would know.
I hope this was any help…have fun at your prom!!
Very pretty dress, i’m sure it will look stunning
Well people always ask me to do their hair and make up for prom, so I’ll do my best.
Sence your hair and dress is dark, I think you should defiantly play with colors. Deep red lips possibly, or colorful eyeshadow, or liner! Purple sounds perfect for you, I have hazel eyes also and that’s what brings them out!

OR

And for your hair: http://www.thestyleandbeautydoctor.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/leighton.jpg (loose curls because you don’t want to take away from the dress!)
How exciting!
an over-sized bun with large black chandelire earrings.
i would curl your hair with heated rollers then place in a tight high ponytail, then get a bun ring and pin all the hair tightly in, i would have all hair in the bun otherwised you can look really dated.
for your make up go for something simple like 1950′s flicks and to put a gothit twist on the look use black eye shadow underneath the eye to create a smoky look using an agled brush.
for your cheeks use a rouge on the cheek bone and a crimson lip would look really dramtaic ! have fun proms the best !
